Bill Maddox is an award-winning Art Director with over 20 years experience including 5 years as a designer in Los Angeles and 15 years in San Diego; including time at Phillips Ramsey and Franklin Stoorza. As a freelance Art Director the last 5 years, Bill has established himself as an effective, solid, problem-solver and “go to” man on challenging assignments of all sizes before launching Big Ocean Advertising with a long-time associate and fishing buddy. Bill lives in Ocean Beach with his dog, “Lucky”.

Not exactly new to the area, Rick Casteel began his career at Franklin and Associates, San Diego before taking positions in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco. Like Bill, Rick began freelancing and has kept busy the last few years working at shops up and down the West coast. Rick’s work has garnered top awards from every major show as both Art Director and Writer including The One Show, Clios, Art Director’s Club, AICP and Cannes. Rick lives in San Francisco with his 9 guitars.
